Speckles of unknow intensity,
streaks of lights across the only surface left,
fading stars over some remaining impressions,
last sounds of the dying darkness…
… and deep breaths of cristaline clarity.

It’s the last moment of serenity,
just before rationality has fought its way back
towards the wavering mind.
The last memory of…
…peace, probably.

And just before the birds start their welcoming song,
at last greeting the light,
guiding it back into the world,
drawing on and on…
… just then…
The last of all broken thoughts is made whole at last.

For Krys – I missed you terribly, Sis.

Wow…I’ve never had anyone dedicate a poem to me. OK..where are the hankies…I think I’m going to cry!
Y’know, as I was reading it, I was thinking “man, I can relate to this” and then ‘wham!’ I saw the bottom. You’re the best! :)
I’ve missed you too! I wish my computer was working, so I would be able to talk to you. Lots of stuff going on. Hopefully soon. I miss our Skype chats! lol
    Well..I’ve rambled on enough here.
Trying to “Hang Tough” ;) ,
    Krystin
